Sometimes the simple solutions are the best! I was already using an apple air tag for security purposes - but kept inside a small waterproof bag and then duct taped in a cavity to keep it secure. When the battery needs changing it will be a mess - but either of these will provide a better way of securing the tag and make access hassle free. Simple but brilliant idea.
