I bought this following the demise (after 10 years) of my previous equally exceptionally loud air horn, a Nautilus Stebel which is essentially the same device only with the compressor and air horn combined in one unit, which by necessity of fitment is exposed to all weathers. The Split Bomb has the added bonus of having the compressor separate to the horn so that the former can be mounted out of the weather behind a fairing or under the seat keeping all electrics and moving parts dry, and the latter mounted externally. The two are connected by plastic air tubing. The volume of these two horns, which is somewhere approaching 120 dB, has saved my life on numerous occasions where I have been able to warn other road users of my approach prior to blind crests or bends etc. For comparison a chainsaw at full chat is around and 115dB, and what a lot of people don't realise is that an increase of 4 decibels is a doubling in volume. I suggest you watch videos on YouTube of these being used at various distances and you'll see what I mean. It BARKS it's attention dramatically without somehow sounding like you're annoyed or angry, in a similar way to how emergency vehicle sirens get your attention but don't sound annoyed. Standard horns are woeful in their inadequacy and really horns of this loudness should be original equipment. Often car drivers are either listening to music or talking on a hands-free phone and this horn gets past this. Nippy Norman's an excellent retailer.

Great quality, easy install, loud results. Highly recommend. My dog does not approve, though.

Amazingly loud and childish fun in tunnels.
Found space to hide horn compressor under tank during removing tank to fit hex ezcan at same time.compressor fitted horizontally across front of air box above throttle cable splitter box, removed air filter element and bolted to airbox body, run hose to underside of beak and cable tied to Bmw engine bar under beak
Sounds loud! John Daniels on Aug 22, 2019

Manged to fit the horn on the right hand side immediately behind the radiator. I fitted the compressor on the left hand side of the frame, behind the side panel. Wrapped some thin rubber around it to prevent the frame and unit rubbing. Bit of tight squeeze, but it is well secured. I removed the tank and air filter housing to make fitting easier.
Very loud horn, I had a similar all in one unit fitted to one of my previous bikes. Certainly wakes people up to your presence!

This horn worked for me as it is loud. However, it sounds more like a fog horn than a good 2-tone car horn, which I found disappointing.

Replaced the standard Road runner meep-meep horn. Now sounds like a goods train. Makes me laugh every time I'm obliged to use it, which further diffuses the tension that caused me to use it! Excellent.

ordered the entire kit for this horn, had to wait weeks for the flaming BMW harness cable only to wire the whole damn thing up to find the electrical servo thingy is faulty so rather peed off that i have now put all the panels back on again knowing i will have to take them all back off again, the servo thingy is well cheap sh1te so into week 4 and still no horn, might just give up on this

Well, it's really, really LOUD and quite easy to fit.
Appears well made and quite stylish.
To make fitting easier, use the plug and play harness, BMW canbus plus and mounting bracket (all sold separately)
The harness and canbus plug not needed if using a Hexezcan or similar.
