Lasted less than 100 miles before it fell off somewhere, that's £35 wasted. I"m not sure how as it took all my strength to get it on as it's a very snug fit. I've had one of these before on a previous bike and that one stayed firmly on.
On the positive side it does what it's supposed to and saves you having to twist your knee in to change gear.

It does what it’s designed to do. Makes it easier for me to change gear in larger boots and you don’t get the rubber marking your boots anymore.

One of the few faults on this bike is the short gear lever, that makes gear changes uncomfortable. This simple, well made aluminium extension solves the issue. It simply pushes over the existing rubber. Recommended.

Until you ride a new k1600gt for a while you won’t be fully aware of what I consider a fundamental design flaw with the bike. It’s very awkward changing gear if you have a size 9 foot! The gear shifter is way too short and the engine casing stops you from getting your foot under it without bending your ankle very awkwardly. So this little gizmo is a life saver. Makes gear changes a lot easier. I’m astonished nobody at BMW has noticed this problem. The fact that this piece of kit is out there is an acknowledgement of the flaw.

Well made and fits well and solved the issue of the gear change lever being too far inboard when I fitted the BMW lowered footrests. The lowered BMW footrests make your foot a little more outboard from the bike compared to the standard pegs, and this extender fixes that issue. However it works well with normal shoes and summer boots, but I found that the extra overall diameter of the lever when fitted made it difficult to get a a comfortable position for both up and down changes when wearing enduro style boots. I changed the gear lever for the the adjustable Wunderlich gear lever in the end and this fixes all issues and gives a much better solution to the problem, BUT much more expensive of course.

Simple but effective sleeve that fits over the nodule on the original gear lever. It's surprising how much of a positive difference it makes to the feel when changing gear. Took a star off because it is overpriced, in my opinion.

A very useful piece of equipment and I have had one on my last 3 bikes - 2 x GS and 1 x KT1600GTLE. Please follow the instructions and use glue or silicone as this prevents loss of the enlarger. Wouldn't be without one - even though the item is quite expensive!

A godsend for those of us who have knee issues. Less twisting of the knee to reach the tip has meant I can still ride after a recent knee operation, so although slightly expensive, I would recommend this product. Be aware that you may need mighty big pliers to fit this part.

I bought this enlarger to alleviate the pressure on my toes, working okay so far.
It was easy to fit as long as I followed the instructions, I used plenty washing up liquid to make fitting easier and it stays put.

Fell off on the second ride so not impressed.
Took the gear change lever off hammered the enlarger on to the gear change rubber until it would go no more. Appeared solid.
Travelled in to work no problem fell off half way home and I couldn't find it. £30 wasted.
NOTE FROM NIPPY NORMANS - The instructions state put some silicon sealer on the old rubber before attaching the new product. Then it is secure.

Makes finding the gear lever easier used on a long trip to Northern Spain through the mountains this with quick shift made gear changing a breeze, easy to fit bit of washing up liquid then push it on however at one point did notice it had worked itself back and could have fell off so maybe a bit of silicon is required good product.
