Great seat, it's quite firm at first but after 100 miles or so it gets much better.
Manage 2 to 3 hour rides on the seat with no issue.
Instantly better than the stock seat.

The standard seat felt like sitting on a board and placed you in a lean down towards the tank. This gives an overall positive position and greater comfort.

The F900 XR is a great bike but I was actually put off buying one because of the OEM seat ... it's hard and uncomfortable for a bike built with touring in mind.
The Wunderlich seat is a game changer and not only raises the seat (I chose the higher option) but also changes the way you sit to a more comfortable position.
The finish is great and I honestly think it looks way better than the original.
This is my second Wunderlich seat (I've got one on a GS 1250) and 450 miles in a day is not a problem in my experience.
Delivered quickly in the usual Nippy Norman fashion - great service.

The F900XR is a super machine but in keeping with BMW tightening their purse strings, there was no, no-cost option on the seating - a great pity as my previous R1200RT could come with normal, lower or higher seats and the costed option was the lower suspension.
Anyway, the costed option for the taller BMW OEM Seat was ludicrous so my bike came with the standard piece of upholstered scaffolding board masquerading as a seat. Wonderful bike but not the seat for 300 miles days in the saddle.
After the numb bum syndrome - never had a problem with my previous BMWs - I purchased a Cool Cover... not to keep cool, just to a) raise the seat height (I'm 6' 4") b) give some extra padding.
This was an improvement but not perfection.
Anyway, having put a few pennies away and receiving the usual Nippy Norman e-mail flier... I noted the taller Wunderlich seat for my bike and for some reason the taller option was cheaper than the standard, comfort or king/queen-type seat. So pocket money spent and seat ordered.
As one might expect from NN... prompt delivery; fair price; good quality.
I think my Cool Cover might fit on top of the new seat but for now ~I am happy with the new seat and just need more time to get out on the bike.
Oh BMW, why did you spoil such a nice bike bay not fitted a proper seat in the first place!

Having owned the bike since March and had issues with comfort with the standard seat , decided to go for the +25 mm height to ease the bend in my knees . Just returned from a tour to France and can thoroughly recommend the seat no discomfort with consecutive 600 plus KM days ,excellent purchase.

The seat was delivered quickly once in stock and well packed. The extra height means less bend at the knee, which is good for me. However the seat is on the hard side. It has become a bit more comfortable since having done a few 00 miles and I am hoping it will become better with use. Still better for me than the stock seat and it does look good.

Ordered a Wunderlich high seat. The website was easy to use and the order was dispatched promptly receiving it as promised by UPS. The seat itself is far better than the OEM and I would recommend anyone going distances to switch seats as far mor comfortable and to use Nippy Normans as they deliver a quality product as promised.
