It has adhesive tape only on the margins of the pad, about 1 cm width, the rest is non-adhesive rubber. It feels retro style with subtle imprinted design and after a month of good use, had no issues with it despite few rainy rides and long miles journeys. It doesn't not offer the best anti-slip properties, nevertheless they are satisfactory for touring.
