If your bike is fitted with the lower engine cowls as mine is, they must be removed in order to fit the AvantGuard and cannot be re-fitted after the item is mounted. NN were brilliant as usual and refunded the cost with free postage for the return.

These parts are a ‘must’. The AvantGuard provides protection for the front engine casing and diverts road debris from the rest of the motor. It is necessary to remove the engine spoiler. The Mudsling provides essential protection for the rear suspension components. Both parts integrate well with the motorcycle and are easily fitted. Highly recommended.

Easy to fit, will definitely keep mud and possible stone damage off engine casings. The AvantGuard is crucial to protect the rear shock and all its associated components. Both pieces blend in with the bikes other parts and look like they were meant to be there.

Brilliant!! Easy to fit and protects the rear shock and to a large extent the passengers feet. Now it needs some decent mud-guarding for the rest of the rear wheel

Really happy with the Mudslinger products, easy to fit and very effective at keeping the crud off the rear shock absorber area likewise the front engine protector does an excellent job of protecting that area from road grit and debris thrown up by the front wheel.

Really high quality items that are a perfect fit. Although expensive for what they are, they will help preserve the finish of the bike and make cleaning a little bit easier.

I bought a Mudsling and AvantGuard for my new bike. The Mudsling was very simple to fit. At this time of the year we get a lot of farm vehicles coming off the fields. The Mudsling has kept the swingingarm bearing and shock much cleaner than the rest of the bike. I'm still making my mind up about whether to fit the AvantGuard as I will need to remove the winglets and probably have to take the AvantGuard off from time to time to clean behind it.

Excellent quality and fit and easy to attach. They look as good as if they are OEM parts. The AvantGuard replaced the engine spoiler on my R1250RS, so this had to be removed first.

Excellent service - well packaged and arrived on time. Fits perfectly and easily, and made from plastics so similar to the bike that it doesn't look like an add-on. My bike has a blue frame so I opted to buy blue cable ties instead of the black ones supplied.

I purchased both the machine art mudsling & avantguard.I have found them both to be brilliant at doing what they are made for.Protecting your bike from crap on the road, which we get a lot of in NZ. Especially our back roads which motorcyclists use a lot. Really recommend both these items.

Both the guards are well made and easy to fit. However whilst they undoubtedly provide a greater degree of protection for the engine and suspension they do little to protect the rider or passenger from road muck.spraying all over the back of your legs and jacket.

Mudslinger - Easy to fit and great bit of kit. Installation took around 20 minutes for this. Wish I had put this on from the start, thoroughly recommend this product.
AvantGuard - Another great bit of kit, installation takes about 20 minutes (same as Mudslinger) and it does what it says.

The guards fitted to the bike easily and do not look out of place. They seem to be very expensive for simple plastic moldings. Was a little disapointed that the MudSling is held in place with cable ties, I would have expected something a little better given the cost of the guards. I dont know how well they will protect the bike from dirt etc as it has not rained since I fitted them to the bike but it looks as though they will do the job well.

These look and feel quality items. They look like OE parts fitted to the bike and fitting is easy making good use of existing bolt holes. And they seem to work well! Some reviews downgrade because of the price, but the price is published and not a nasty surprise or disappointment. 5*

The front guard does an excellent job even keeping the header pipes nice and clean in the worst of weather. Easy to fit and looks good. The Mudsling tidies up the underside and keeps the rear shock nice and clean although the back end of the bike (and my legs and boots) still get filthy.

A short front mudguard and a large expanse of engine cover in the firing range of everything coming off the front wheel and spray from the back wheel covering everything at the back prompted me to look for a bit of protection. The various forums recommended these so I bit the bullet. Not cheap but very nicely made, fitted in minutes and don't look like obvious aftermarket tat.
