The battery is a straight swap for the original. The most difficult part was getting the plastic cover off in order to remove the battery. Usual excellent Nippy Norman’s next day delivery.

The battery arrived promptly. On receipt, having watched a couple of You Tube videos, I found it simple to remove the old battery and replace it with this one. The new battery was a direct placement and fitted correcntly. No problems and recommended.

An unfortunate consequence of owning a liquid cooled RT is that you will regularly be replacing batteries. In my experience, both my 1250 and the 1200 before it required battery replacement every 2 or 3 years, despite always being plugged in to Optimate 4 via the Canbus. Exide make the OEM battery for BMW, and this appears to be exactly the same one without the badge. Same performance & life at a lower price.
