Reviews of GiVi Highflow Sport Touring screen R1300GS (clear) BIKES WITHOUT RADAR

Givi Screen For GS 1300 Douglas Gourlay on May 07, 2025

Rating: 4

As usual, this Givi Touring screen does what it's supposed to do, i.e., it gives much better protection from wind (including buffeting) and rain than the standard BMW screen. However, I'm only giving this 4 stars as I don't think they've got the fitment/ manufacturing exactly right. It was very difficult to fit because the holes did not line up as they should. At one point I was going to give up and return it as I was fearful that if I tried to force it anymore to get the final bolt in place that it would actually crack the screen. And no, I didn't attempt to tighten any of the four bolts until all of them were located correctly (not operator error). For me personally the screen is a little TOO big, but I have not marked it down for that. I'm not tall (!) and have the low seat option, so having the screen in the lowest position means that the top of it is directly in my eyeline, meaning it obstructs my view a little and I get a little more buffeting to my head. As it's an electric adjustment raising it just enough or to full height, which both work perfectly, is easy, but that low position view does become an issue when the screen gets very dirty as I can't simply see enough of the road over the top of it. All in all a decent purchase at the price, if the fitting was better a very good purchase, just not 100% ideal for those of us who suffer from "Wee-ism"!
