Constant chafing on the frame with your boots (especially motocross boots) will damage the paint, reduce the value of the bike and eventually, even reduce the wall thickness of the frame tube.
Together with Wunderlich Racer Dirk Thelen, we designed a light and strong plastic protector that follows the frame tube like a second skin and provides a solution for this problem. We have deliberately chosen to use a robust plastic material. Harder materials such as aluminum will damage the paint and frame over time more than actually protecting it.
Features and Benefits:
• Boots cannot get caught on frame
• Frame protected from Enduro boots
• Protects swing arm pivot from dirt
• Prevents loosing the pivot cap
• Precise shape ensures no chafing of frame or rattling noises from protector.
• Easy to fit
• Each protector weighs only 80 grams
This part has proved itself during extensive race and road testing. A must for any serious GS Rider who wants to protect the frame.
The German Magazine “Tourenfahrer” had this to say:“The Wunderlich “Spider” frame protectors are flexible and not as damaging to the boots (Note: As compared to a competitors’ product), they are also easily and quickly attached with cable ties. These protectors, made of thermoformed plastic, even cover the left and right side swing arm pivots.
