I bought this to protect the vulnerable area at the bottom of the engine cover. My previous RT corroded here dispute also having a mudguard extender too. This time the GSA gets the extender and this plate. It’s well made, looks good quality finish and a doddle to fit but it’s quite expensive for what it is.

Neat, unobtrusive. It'll definitely stop stones sandblasting the bottom of the engine cover. Not sure about cleaning effectively behind it. It may harbour dirt etc behind.

HAD ON OF THESE ON THE 1200R IT WORKED WELL , STOPING THE LOWER PART OF THE FRONT COVER AND THE EXHAUST CROSS PIPE FROM GETTING 'SAND ' BLASTED

Ordered this as the the bottom of the engine was getting hammered. It is small but is good quality and easy to fit. Doesn't really need to be bigger as it is perfect to protect the area where the crud accumulates. Also fitted a fender extender to provide extra protection. Would be 5 stars but for price. Great service and free postage helps though.

A bit expensive for what it is, however its well made, easy to fit and is very effective at stopping stones/gravel "sand blasting" the front engine casing.

Easily installed. A bit rich for what it is however it is well made. I would of preferred black caps head screws. Makers should perhaps give people the option?

Not sure I actually needed this as I have the front extender. But they work well together and there is plenty of space to fit it easily and for the wheel to turn. You forget it's there but looks good in black and might save me some cash in the long run. Who knows. Recommended if you have the cash x

Easy to fit. Covers bottom end of engine only - but that is the most exposed to corrosion/damage anyway.

An excellent way to protect the hard to clean shock absorber etc. It's not as visually obtrusive as a hugger and more effective .

This item has a great finish and is well made. The fit was excellent. I was unsure to order the black colour at first but I'm happy with my choice. I can't see anyone being disappointed with either the silver or black plate. It will protect that vulnerable area very well.

I chose this over the Cymarc crud catcher as it is less obtrusive, looks better made and is cheaper. Fitting was a doddle, but as to how effective it will be only time will tell
